1938 – Associated Sales and Bag Company was founded.
Associated Sales and Bag Company was founded in 1938 by Phillip and Abe Rubenstein. The Company got its start by cleaning and repairing burlap bags in a building on South 1st Street in downtown Milwaukee.
1973 – Associated Bag moved to a larger building.
By 1973, the Company needed more space, and moved to a larger location on South 2nd Street.
1984 – Herb Rubenstein joined
the Company.
In 1984, Herb Rubenstein joined the Company, making Associated Bag a third-generation family business.
1988 – Associated Bag moved to a new building.
In 1988, Associated Bag relocated into a larger building and headquarters on West Boden Street in Milwaukee.
1997 – Associated Bag added a location in Nevada.
In 1997, Associated Bag added a location on Lillard Drive in Reno to improve service in the western United States.
2002 – Associated Bag added a location in Pennsylvania.
In 2002, Associated Bag added a location on East Main Street in Harrisburg to improve service in the eastern United States.
2003 – Associated Bag added a location in Texas.
In 2003, Associated Bag added a location on Rock Quarry Road in Dallas to improve service in the southern United States.
